Private Pilot's License
  • 20 Hours Minimum - Dual Flight Instruction
  • 10 Hours Minimum - Solo Flight Time

The FAA requires that all who seek a private pilots license must have a minimum of 40 hours total time.

Ground Instruction:

Part of your training will require a minimum 16 hours of classroom instruction. This will prepare you for the written exam that is taken prior to solo flight. You must also have an oral exam and a flight proficiency test with a FAA examiner to receive your Private Pilot’s License.

Books & Supplies:

All books and supplies needed to achieve your Private Pilot’s License will be available through Ameri-Copter.

FAA Medical Exam:

This will be conducted with an FAA medical doctor. You will need to acquire a 3rd Class Medical Certificate to receive your FAA license.

At Ameri-Copter, all lessons are one-on-one training. You will have one Certified Flight Instructor that will see you through your entire training program.
